Seth Thomas Adamantine Mantle Clock, Circa Early 1900's for sale in Arvada, Colorado

$195

This beautiful clock was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Co. in Thomaston, Conn., USA in the very early 1900's.
The original 8-day Seth Thomas movement is in good running order. It has a pleasant, deep, mellow sounding gong counting the hours and a single strike on the half-hour. This clock has 4 columns, paw feet, and rare lion/sphinx heads on each side. It has a 4 1/2" aged dial and a 6" wide, patinated brass bezel with glass crystal. It has the original pendulum and a replacement key that fits both the winder and the regulator. The case color is a reddish brown Adamantine finish. It measures 17" wide x 11 " high x 7" deep.
The Adamantine finish (a patented, plastic like coating from the 1800's) is in good shape for its age. As in all Adamantine finish clocks, you should expect to see a little shrinkage at the corners and edges, some cracking here and there, and some touch ups, as well as light denting and scuffs.
This is a great old clock (circa 1900) that will look fantastic on your mantle or shelf is guaranteed to draw lots of attention and admiration.
